Great start to NYE. Rye showing well great after it warmed up.

Pours black with a hint of head that dissipates immediately. Chocolate and booze on the nose with mile black licorice and coffee. Taste is leaning on the boozy with a muted coffee on the big roasty, silky base chocolate, age playing a factor there. The feel is so mouth coating, finish lingers and again reminds of the booziness.

Good year, very similar to previous. Love the 10 oz bottles.

Pours black with almost no head. Nose has a touch of spice, bourbon and coffee leading. Big and boozy taste and a huge mouthfeel. Near still. Finish surprisingly short.

Great barrel aging on this Belgian.

Dark near black with minimal head and retention. Nose is okay, chocolate, slight red currant note. Wine barrel has a great influence on the taste, blends well with the roasty malt base flavors, adds a fruity sweetness. Finish lingers, above average body, near still.

Not impressed. Oxidized, thin, mild barrel on nose but lost otherwise.

Drinking amazingly well. A bit of air time helps. Primary flavors have faded, but at 13 years stood the rest of time.

Very much enjoyed while preparing Yule prime rib.

Fantastic at 12 years old! Has not fallen as hard as I thought. Hint of lavender on taste.

Enjoyed at HCBS #10. Everyone loved this 10-year-old ale. Spectacular nose and taste, floral, and distinctly Westvleteren.

8 years old and outstanding. The bubbles on pour fully present and active. Nose has all the wonderful westy notes. Taste full with minimal oxidation. Very impressed.

Merry Christmas on Lake Texoma! Hiss on open but no head, near still, brown. Nose having a caramel accent. Taste is divine as fresh.

Strong boozy, drinking well with some oxidation notes. Will watch for years to come.

Enjoyed on Lake Texoma with Patrick. Super dark with minimal head, slight beige lacing. Nose very vanilla and banana, some bourbon notes. Banana leads the taste profile with chocolate, vanilla, and slight bourbon followed by wood finish.. The combination is well balanced and delicious. Body is big and carbonation low. One of the best ales I have ever enjoyed.

Loved it at Mom & Dad's for Thanksgiving. Pours black with a brown head the dissipates quickly, fizzy. Nose has more vanilla notes than anything else. Taste is prominently cocoa and vanilla with the bourbon providing a great boozy backdrop lingering on the finish. Feel is medium heavy and carbonation low.

Enjoyed at F1 with Patrick. Near black pour with thin brown head, no retention. Like a pina/banana colada in a BCBS. Banana prominent on nose. Great general BCBS flavors, but that juice and coconut really shine. Sweetness plays off each other. Lingering fruits on finish. Big body and light carbonation.

Enjoyed a COTA for F1 with Patrick. Excellent BCBS, but not sure just how different it is in Eagle Rare vs standard Will do a blind taste for the final bottle.

Enjoyed with Patrick at F1. Pours black with no head. Nose mostly roasted barley with hints of wood and vanilla. Taste adds the bourbon note, sweetness as well in that bourbon marries well with the base sweetness, coffee. Deep wood flavor mingles throughout the tasting experience. Big body along with some booziness, very low carbonation.

Black motor oil pour, no head. Nose a bit light, maybe a touch or raisins. Cinnamon leads the taste on the big base beer for a chocolate donut with cinnamon effect. Searching but not finding peppercorn. Body is huge with almost no carbonation.

Had at Blast n Cast. Decent peach and farmhouse flavors but too sour to enjoy more than a few sips.
